    Gambaran Klinis dan Hasil Laboratorium Bayi Baru Lahir dari Ibu Terkonfirmasi Covid-19 di Unit Neonatologi RS USU Medan

    Abstract
    Background. Coronavirus Diseases 2019 (Covid-19) is a disease that was first discovered in Wuhan, China, and has become a global pandemic. Vertical transmission from mother to fetus is still being studied. Aim. Know the clinical manifestation and laboratory results of neonates from mothers confirmed Covid- 19. Method. Descriptive research with a retrospective cross-sectional study approach obtained from medical record data from the USU Hospital neonatology unit using a total sampling data collection method. Results. Of a total of 34 neonates from mothers confirmed Covid-19, there were 3 neonates born preterm (8.8%), 19 neonates were male (55.9%), 15 neonates were female (44, 1%), 3 neonates with LBW (8.8%), 1 neonate with LBW (2.9%), all neonates with normal temperature and sucking reflex appeared (100%), 2 neonates with respiratory distress (5.9%), 3 neonates with abnormal amniotic fluid (8.8%), 2 neonates with intolerance to diet (5.9%), 4 neonates with low Hb and Ht (anemia) (11.8%), 1 neonate leukocytosis (2.9%), 4 neonates thrombocytopenia (11.8%), 1 thrombocytopenic neonate (2.9%), all neonates with normal basophil levels (100%), 18 eosinophilic neonates (52.9%), 2 neutropenic neonates (5.9%), 15 neutrocytosis neonates (44.1%), 20 lymphopenia neonates (58.8%), 2 lymphocytosis neonates (5.9%), 25 monocytosis neonates (73.5%), 4 neonates with abnormal CRP levels (11.8% ), and 5 neonates with positive RT-PCR Covid-19 results (14.7%). Conclusion. The most common clinical manifestations are lymphopenia and monocytosis. Nonetheless, there are no significant complications.
