Background. Stratification in COVID-19 patients is based on clinical presentation which is somewhat subjective because sometimes it only appears in late stages. Early identification of biomarkers can help clinicians to have a more objective assessment and better interventions. Until now, no effective biomarkers have been found to determine prognosis in COVID-19 patient. In SARS-COV2 infection the immune system activated and the production of PCT and CRP will increased. Objectives. To discover the role of PCT and CRP levels in determining the prognosis of COVID-19 patients. Method. This research was conducted by crosssectional design which aims to assess the role of PCT and CRP as prognostic indicators in COVID-19 patients. Data sources from the medical records of 119 patients were taken based on inclusion and exclusion criteria at RSUD Drs. H. Amri Tambunan. Results. Increased PCT and CRP values have a significant association with death in COVID-19 patient. The mean values of increase PCT and CRP was significantly higher in dead patients than in patients who were still alive. PCT and CRP have a significant ability to predict mortality in COVID-19 patients (AUC of PCT = 71.5% and CRP = 74.5%) with an optimal cut-off value for CRP 70.2 mg/L and PCT 0.41 ng/mL. Conclusion. PCT and CRP values can be used as prognostic indicators in COVID-19 patients with cut-off value of PCT ≥ 0.41 ng/mL and CRP ≥ 70.2 mg/L .en_US
