    Abstract
Background. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The clinical spectrum of COVID-19 varies from asymptomatic, pre-symptomatic, to symptomatic cases of severe pneumonia which can cause death. Coagulation disorders and thromboembolic events are complications that are often found in COVID-19 patients. Hemostasis physiologic examination is one of the tests that can be used to assess coagulation defects that may occur in COVID-19 patients. Aim. Analyzing the relationship between hemostatic physiologic examination values, namely Prothrombin Time (PT), International Normalized Ratio (INR), Activated Plastin Thromboplastin Time (APTT), D-dimer (DD), fibrinogen, and platelets with moderate-severe degrees and death inpatients with COVID-19 inpatients at Haji Adam Malik General Hospital and Prof. Chairuddin P Lubis Hospital in 2021. Methods This type of study was an analytic retrospective design. Data were collected using the consecutive sampling technique using secondary data in the form of medical records of moderate-severe COVID-19 patients and patients who died. The data were then analyzed using the Chi Square test using the Statistical Program for Social Product (SPSS). Results. The majority of patients were women (51.7%), age range 46-55 years (30.8%), there was a relationship between PT, INR, APTT, DD, and fibrinogen values with the degree of COVID-19 (p=0.001; p=0.047; p=0.000; p=0.000; p=0.002), but no significant relationship was found between platelet count and the degree of COVID-19 (p=0.855).Conclusion. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the majority of COVID-19 patients were women, age group 46-55 years, and a relationship was found between the physiologic value of hemostasis and the degree of COVID-19 except for platelets.
