dc.description.abstract | Background. COVID-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that has caused the most impactful global health crisis after the influenza pandemic. Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 can occur through direct contact, such as droplets, and indirect contact, such as from contaminated objects. Prevention of the spread of COVID-19 can be done by wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands, staying away from crowds, and reducing mobility. North Sumatra is included in the 20 provinces that have substandard compliance in carrying out health protocols. Aim. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of concern and behavior of the people of Marindal 1 Village, Deli Serdang regency to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Methods. This study is a descriptive study with cross-sectional design. The sample of this study is the Marindal 1 Village Community taken by consecutive sampling technique. The data used are primary data taken by distributing questionnaires to 100 people. Results. From this study, obtained 88 respondents (88%) with good concern and 12 respondents (12%) with sufficient concern. For behavior, there were 53 respondents (53%) with good behavior and 47 respondents (47%) with adequate behavior. Conclusions. The level of community awareness and behavior in Marindal 1 Village is in the good category. | en_US |
