    Abstract
Background. Currently, asma is one of the global health problem which its prevalence is increasing in various countries. Based on Riset Kesahatan Dasar (Riskesdas) in 2018, the average of recurrence rate of asthma in the last 12 months in Indonesians who suffer from asthma reaches 57.5%. The incidence of asthma can have a negative impact on the quality of life by causing limitations in daily activities, both physically and emotionally, and also in social life. Therefore, to minimize the occurrence of exacerbations, optimal asthma management is needed in order to achieve controlled asthma, so the frequency of asthma attacks is expected to decrease and an increased quality of life will be obtained.
