Backgroundlmmunization is essential to support children's health status as a primary prevention
to infectious disease. The low scope of immunization in Singkuang village has been questioning
whether it was caused by parity and mothers associated factors or it was the unavaibility of
vaccines.
ObjectiveTo determine the correlation between parity and mother's associated factors
(knowledge, behaviour and attitude) with immunization status in children in Singkuang village,
North Sumatra.
MethodsCross sectional study wasconducted among mothers of children aged under 2 years in
Singkuang village. Mothers were interviewed about the parity and their knowledge, behaviour
and attitude towards their children's irnmunization status. The correlation between children's
immunization status with parity were analyzedby using chi-square and with mother's associated
factors (knowledge, behaviour and attitude) by using fisher exact test.
ResultsTotal samples in this study were 95 parttcipants. There was significant correlation
betweeen mother's associated factors with chidren's immunization status ( knowledge, behaviour
and attitude), all with P:0.001and not significantly correlated with parity (PR 0.167, 95 % Cl
0.015-1.184, P:0.141 and PR 0.432, 95%C10.096-1 .959,P:0.277).
Conclusion There is no significant correlation between parity with children's immunization
status but sigmficantly correlated with mothers associated factors (knowledge, behaviour and
attitude)
