dc.description.abstractBackground The covid-19 pandemic has an overall impact, one of them is the availability of food which has an effect on the preparation of Family Food and nutrition needs. Nutritional problems in adolescents happened due to poor nutritional intake, specifically the imbalance between nutritional intake and the recommended nutritional adequacy. Nutritional problems that can occur in adolescents are malnutrition (underweight), obesity (overweight) and anemia. Objectives To determine the description of balanced nutrition knowledge during the pandemic in students of Class XI & XII of SMAN 4 Medan. Methods This study is a descriptive study using cross sectional research design. Data acquired by using questionnaire that was created by the researcher himself, drawn from related theories or references. Measuring instrument used in this study is a questionnaire using google form. Results In this study, the number of frequency distribution of student mostly based on the category of 194 people (73.5%) and the least in the category of less than 5 people (1.9%). Conclutions The students in SMA Negeri 4 Medan have a good knowledge about balanced nutrition during a pandemicen_US
