Tokoh dan Makam Parmata Sapihak dalam Narasi Keturunannya (Studi Etnografi Klan Marga Daulay di Tapanuli Selatan)
Abstract
This research is entitled Figures and Graves of Parmata Sapihak in the Narrative of Their Descendants (Ethnographic Study of the Daulay Clan in South Tapanuli) which aims to describe variations of the story versions about the figures of Parmata Sapihak and Daulay clan who are in Binabo Julu Samarimba Village, Kec. Barumun, North Padang Lawas, Siunggam Julu Village, Kec. Padang Bolak, Kab. North Padang Lawas, and Pintu Padang Village, Kec. South Angkola.
The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with observation techniques and interviews with several informants such as residents or traditional leaders, especially with the Daulay surname.
The results of the study show that there are differences in the stories that occurred in the three villages, especially among parents, children, and so on. And there are also residents of Daulay descent who do not believe the story about the character Parmata Sapihak or the origin of the Daulay clan. There is a tomb of the Melur Daulay clan, namely Parmata Sapihak. This tomb is about 7 mtr long and around the tomb there is the tomb of his wife Namora Pandapotan, whose tomb is 5 m, located in Binabo Julu village, Samarimba, Kec. Barumun, Padang Lawas Regency.
