Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Pengawasan Dana Desa di Desa Gawu-Gawu Bouso Kecamatan Gunungsitoli Utara

Abstract

Community participation is one of the factors influencing the success of the development program and village community development program. The community not only gets involved in deciding on every development program but also in identifying the problems and potential in society. Community participation is a central point of the development itself.

The research aims at analyzing the community participation in supervising the village fund and analyze both supporting and inhibiting factors of community participation in supervising the village fund. The descriptive research method is used in this research by using a qualitative approach. The research informants consist of the Head of Village, Village Secretary, Village Deliberation Body (BPD). Heads of Sub-Village, Head of Neighborhood Association (RT), Head of Community Association (RW), and Society. The result indicates that community participation in supervising the village fund in Gawu-Gawu Bouso village is still very low or not maximal. The supporting factors found namely community awareness and willingness to participate in development activities. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors found namely the low quality of education, low level of income, and limited employment opportunities in the village.
