The objective of this research is to analyze effect of ability and motivation on
employee performance in the complete systematic land registration service at the Land Office of
Pematang Siantar City. This research intends to test the hypothesis with the expectation that
it can strengthen the assumptions that have been formulated and able to support the theory.
This shows to determine performance of employees in the complete systematic land registration
service at the Land Office of Pematang Siantar City. This research uses primary data and secondary
data as its sources of data collection. The population that become the subject of this
research are alt employees of the Land Office of the City of Pematang Siantar with t total of
80 PNS, Non PNS. This is often done when the population is relatively small, less than 30 people,
another term for a saturated sample is a census where all members of the population are taken as
the samples. To determine effects of ability and motivation on employee performance,
multiple linear regression analysis is carried out. The research results show that ability
has a positive and signifi.cant effect on employee performance.
