Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has captured the world's attention, especially in terms of information. A cross-sectional study in France, showed that 45% of research respondents spent more than half an hour reading pandemic-related news every day. This gives rise to a new phenomenon, namely doomscrolling which is defined by the tendency of readers to consume bad news. Objective : To determine the effect of doomscroling on the anxiety level of USU FK students. Methods : This study used an analytical observational method with a cross sectional design. The sample in this study must meet the inclusion criteria, whereas the sampling technique in this study uses a consecutive sampling technique. Results: In this study, the results of the correlation test conducted using the Spearman analysis technique, showed that the significance value on the results was > 0.05, which means that the two variables in this study were not correlated. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship or influence from doomscrolling with levels of anxiety, however there several descriptions of symptoms that can be caused by doomscrolling
