    Abstract
    Background. Cervical cancer is a cervical malignancy that can spread to all parts of the body. Cervical cancer is the second cause of death in women in Indonesia, every year the death rate from cervical cancer continues to increase. This is due to the lack of knowledge of women about early screening for cervical cancer, one of the simple examinations that can prevent cervical cancer is a visual inspection of acetate (IVA). Destination. This study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about visual inspection of acetate (IVA) with the mother's attitude towards cervical cancer prevention. Purpose. This study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about visual inspection of acetate (IVA) with the mother's attitude towards cervical cancer prevention. Method. This research uses analytic research with a cross sectional approach, the sampling technique is by consecutive sampling and data collection uses a questionnaire. Result. The research showed that most of the 96 respondents had sufficient knowledge about the mother's level of knowledge about VIA examination, namely 53 respondents (55.2%), 23 respondents (24.0%) had less knowledge and 20 respondents (20.8%) had less knowledge. Most of the mothers' attitudes towards the IVA examination had a positive attitude, namely 57 respondents (59.4%) had a positive attitude, 26 respondents (27.1%) had a negative attitude and 13 respondents (13.5%) had a very positive attitude. The statistical test results with the Chi-square test obtained a p value = 0.005 (p <0.05). Conclusion. In this study it can be concluded that there is a realationship between the level of knowledge of mother’s about visual acetate inspection (VIA) with the attitude of mother’s towards cervical cancer prevention.
