Wounds may occur after tooth extraction or surgical procedures. The process of wound healing and cell regeneration occurs directly as a physiological reaction of the body to the wound healing process. Bacteria and fungi are the normal flora of the oral cavity that can become pathogenic and cause infection. Treatment of infected wounds currently uses antibiotics or synthetic antimicrobials. One alternative that can be used by utilizing binahong and mobe leaves because they contain active compounds that act as antibiotics and antimicrobials. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial and antifungal activity of the combination of binahong leaf extract gel and mobe leaves against Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. This type of research is an experimental laboratory with a post-test only control group design research design. Test statistical analysis using One-way Anova. The method of measuring the inhibition zone used is a well by measuring the diameter of the clear zone around the well. From the results of the Post Hoc least significant difference (LSD) statistical test, it showed that the experimental group that was best in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus was binahong 3%, with an ability equivalent to Amoxicillin (p>0.05) while in inhibiting Candida albicans, namely a combination of binahong leaf extract gel and 1: 3 mobe, with better ability than Nystatin (p> 0.05). These results mean that there is no significant difference or similar ability to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.
