Native to Indonesian fresh water, the Channa striata snakehead fish inhabits watersheds in Sumatra, Kalimantan and Java. Stagnant swamp waters known as lebak lebung are the original habitat of snakehead fish. Snakehead fish is considered a carnivore because of its diet. In the wild, snakehead fish usually consume small fish, aquatic insects, frogs and shrimp and are nocturnal animals. The purpose of this study was to determine the best type of feed with protein content and light intensity to use for snakehead fish seeds in order to determine the growth and recovery of snakehead fish life. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with 2 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment was carried out with 30%, 35% and 40% feed protein. And in the second treatment is to use light intensity 100%, 75% and 50%. This research was conducted for 60 days of rearing to determine the increase in length, increase in weight, Feed Covertion Ratio (FCR) to maintain life and water quality. The results showed that feeding with 40% protein content and 50% light intensity had an effect on the growth of the snakehead fish and had an influence on the survival of the snakehead fish. Treatments P3 (feed with 40% protein) and I3 (50% light intensity) were the best treatments for the growth of snakehead fish.en_US
