Analisis Pendapatan dan Strategi Pengembangan Usaha Tanaman Hias di Desa Bangun Sari Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Horticulture is one of the commodities that has great potential to be developed in North Sumatra Province. The development of the ornamental plant business needs to be carried out with the aim of being a business that provides profits for the community as an ornamental plant business actor. This research was conducted to analyze business development strategies formulated with SWOT analysis. This research was conducted in Bangun Sari Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. Population research amounted to 150 ornamental plant growers. Metode sample determination is done by simple random sampling. Datacollection is carried out by observation and questionnaire . Data analysis was performed using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the cultivation of ornamental plant farming in Bangun Sari Village, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency, obtained an R / C value of > 1, namely 1.80. Ornamental plant farming is worthy of cultivation as an ornamental plant business because the R / C value is greater than 1. The strategy of ornamental plant farmers in the development of ornamental plant businesses in Bangun Sari Village is a strategy (Growth Oriented Strategy), where the policies that have been made by entrepreneurs must be optimized so that they will provide benefits for business actors. The position matrix of SWOT analysis is in quadrant I (positive, positive), that is, this position is that the ornamental plant business in Bangun Sari Village has the strength to carry out business development by taking advantage of existing opportunities
