dc.description.abstractThe writing of this thesis was supervised by Mr. Dr. Ir. Satia Negara Lubis, M.Ec as Chairman of the Advisory Committee and Mr. Dr. Ir. Sinar Indra Kesuma, M.Si as Member of the Advisory Commission. Arabica coffee is a leading commodity in Karo Regency. To maintain the export performance of the coffee commodity, it is necessary to increase the production and quality of coffee. This study aims to determine the comparative and competitive advantage of Arabica coffee in Karo Regency. The analytical method of this research uses the comparative analysis method of RCA (Revealed ComparativeAdvantage) and the method of competitive analysis of the Porter Diamond Theory. Meanwhile, the results of Berlian Porter's competitiveness show that each of the main components has a mutually supportive relationship. The supporting component, namely the role of the government, also has a mutually supportive relationship with all the main components.en_US
