dc.description.abstract | Increasing the income of farmers is expected to have an impact on the welfare of beef cattle breeders in Karo Regency. This study aims to determine the factors that influence farmers' income and to analyze strategies for increasing beef cattle business in Karo District. This research was conducted in Tigapanah District, Tigabinanga District and Dolat Rakyat District, Karo Regency with a total of 78 respondents. The data analysis used is multiple linear analysis and the revenue increasing strategy used is SWOT analysis. The results showed that the cost of seeds, the cost of feed, the cost of cage, the cost of labor, and the selling price of livestock were factors that had a significant effect on the income of farmers in Karo Regency, while the other costs did not have a significant effect on the income of farmers in Karo Regency. The SWOT analysis shows that strategies that can be used to increase farmer income include: Sufficient capital and sufficient experience can help improve the quality of feed for cattle and livestock breeds so that they can meet high market demand and high livestock marketing, Natural conditions and a climate that supports fertile forage is very supportive for the use of agricultural waste to meet the nutritional needs of beef cattle feed, so as to increase livestock production and high livestock selling prices, Adequate farming experience and increased skill training for breeders in the utilization of agricultural waste as beef cattle feed as well as good quality livestock breeds, Utilization of high market demand and good animal markets in Karo district to increase the selling price of beef cattle so as to increase the income of beef cattle breeders. | en_US |
