In this study trying to analyze the crime contained in the film Drug War. This study aims to describe the main character Cài tiān míng depicted in the Drug war film and the issue of crime depicted in the Drug War film. The theoretical basis used is the theory of the sociology of literature approach. The data source in this study is the film Drug War《毒战》directed by Johnnie To, which was released on November 15, 2012. The data collection method used was a literature study followed by listening and note-taking techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis method was carried out using the Kartini Kartono analysis technique, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification. This research can contribute to an understanding of the forms, causes and effects of crime in the film Drug War《毒战》as well as provide readers with an understanding of the theory of the sociology of literature approach. The results of the study show that crime or crime is not a hereditary event (congenital, inherited); nor is it a biological inheritance. Anyone can commit criminal behavior, both women and men; It can take place at the age of a child, adult or elderly. Crimes can be committed consciously; namely thought, planned and directed at a certain purpose consciously right. But it can also be done semi-consciously; for example driven by violent impulses, plagued by very strong coercive drives (compulsions), and by obsessions. Crimes can also be committed unconsciously. For example, being forced to defend his life, a person must fight and is forced to retaliate, resulting in a murder. (Kartini Kartono, 2009: 121) The discussion of this research in the film Drug War tells of a drug user and dealer named Cai Tianming. One day Cai Tianming was driving a car under control from the effects of drug use. As a result he crashed his car into a restaurant. At the same time the police are actively raiding or arresting parties involved in the distribution of these illegal drugs. Realizing Cai Tianming's carelessness, he was caught by a police captain named Zhang Lei. Cai Tianming was even more confused because he was caught red-handed because all the evidence could lead him to get the death penaltyen_US
