| dc.description.abstract | This research analyzes tourism potentials and strategies of child friendly tourism development in Belawan Bahari Village Medan belawan Subdistrict, Medan. It employs descriptive qualitative method and collects data from informants through interviews and focus group discussion, observation and documentation. The data analysis is made using four stages, namely do collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing The research finds outs the potentials that can be developed for the child friendly tourism in Belawan Bahari Village, Medan Belawan Subdistrict, Medan to become a child friendly tourist destination or tourism, namely water tourism, seafood culinary tourism, and culture The tourism potentials in Belawan Bahari Village is prospective for development in the future, particularly the natural and culinary tourism which have their own characteristics for tourists Facilities and infrastructures are available although they are minimal and still require attention from government and public sectors as well as public participation The supporting facilities that can become a capital are reachable access, availability of adequate public transport, and enthusiasm of local people to change the stigma of Belawan Bahari Village from a slum village to child friendly coastal village | en_US |
