This thesis titled Language and Traditional treatment in Toba Batak Language: Study Antropolinguitic. The purpose of this study were 1) to analyze the form of traditional medicine in the language Batak Toba 2) To find tradition of traditional medicine in the language Batak Toba 3) To find the local knowledge of traditional medicine in Toba Batak language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data used to support the research taken by interview and observation. The theory is used to study the tradition of traditional medicine in Toba Batak language is a theory antropolinguistik that focuses on performance, indexicality, participation by applying three parameters, interconnection, valuability and sustainability (continuity). These results indicate the language of traditional medicine in Toba Batak language is the language of the form primary/basic words, repeated words, phrases containing marker ni categorized Momina ie objects and noun phrases. Language in the processing and treatment based on the form which forms the base/word dasa categories of verbs and verb word category. Performance of traditional medicine in Batak society is the activity/treatment process while praying for such treatment. Participation, the party who helps manage and treat the sick. Indeksikalitas reflected in the treatment of prayer, the prayer contains pronouns demonstration on (this) and pronouns self- hu. Pronoun on (this) in the prayer refers to pharmaceuticals to treat diseases, while pronouns self- hu as a sign that refers to the disease experienced sipenderita as a sign of connectedness between pharmaceuticals with disease. Connectedness is reflected in steps, size/dose of medication treatment processes and norms or rules to be followed by the public in the use of traditional medicine. Kebernilaian traditional medicine in Batak society that values health, social value, religious values, the value of environmental care, economic value. Sustainability, in general, traditional medicine is still used, especially parents but suffered the loss for young children. Local wisdom of traditional medicine in the Batak Toba in Muara is health wisdom, wisdom grateful, wisdom of mutual cooperation, wisdom prosperity, wisdom harmony with nature and wisdom improved welfare.
