Background : Contact Dermatitis is a skin infection occured by external exposure, both
accute or chronic which caused by materials stick on the skin allergen or irritan materials.
Allergy Contact Dermatitis caused by cement is a dermatitis occured by cement material
especially Chromat allergent. A Chromat allergent contact dermatitis always find at
paving block worker.
Objectives : Understanding the scale point of allergy contact dermatitis on paving block
worker and other factor influences include ( age, education, time job, atopi history, safety
device usage and exposure) conduct to alergy contact dermatitis at paving block worker.
Subject and Method : the research was descriptive and analitical with vertical cutting
design held on June 2008 until April 2009. The research sample object was the paving
block worker period June 2008 until April 2009 who meet the classify requirement for
30 people. The collect data including age, education, time job, atopi history, safety device
usage and exposure. The data process and statistic was conducted on a significant
correlation test (chi-square test) with border means at amount 95 % which consist the
means if P < 0,05 and no means if P > 0,05.
Result: The paving block worker consist 33,3 % with allergy cement contact dermatitis
caused by chromat allergen. Based on chi-square test appeared a significant connection
between time exposure (p=0,041) with contact dermatitis of cement allergen occurance.
The age worker variable (p=0,223), education (p=0,301), time work (p=0,106), atopi
history (p=l,000), safety device usage (p=0,243) have no significant connection with
occurance contact dermatitis of cement allergent
Conclusion : contact dermatitis of cement allergent proportion is 33,3 % and appear
means relate to statictic between the risk of contact dermatitis of cement allergent
occurance with time exposure factor
