The pandemic that has occurred since 2020 until now has affected many aspects of human daily life around the world. The most common change that we can see and see is that people around the world are obliged to wear masks, because masks can slow down the spread of the virus. During the Covid-19 pandemic, in places such as offices, schools, banks, it is necessary to validate the faces of their employees as a way of quick identification, where the face is wearing a mask. Generally, the existing system requires a face without attributes as a way of validation and if it is used, it must first remove the mask. This method of validation will take more time because by opening the mask first, then validation is carried out. By removing the mask during facial validation, it can increase the potential for greater virus spread. So we need a system that can do face recognition without opening the mask when doing validation. The purpose of this study is to design a masked facial recognition system using the Template Matching algorithm to comply with health protocols.en_US
