Methods: This study is a diagnostic study with a cross-sectional method that aims to find content validity, concurrent validity, internal consistency reliability, inter-rater reliability, cut-off value, sensitivity and specificity of the Scale For The Assessment of Positive Symptoms (SAPS) instrument. Results: A total of 400 subjects participated in this study, the majority 69,8% of the subjects were male. The median age of the subjects was 37(18-45) years. In this study, it was found that the content validity test was good (mean I-CVI=1.00), the concurrent validity test comparing the SANS and PANSS instruments on the positive symptom subscale got significant results (p<0.001) with a strong correlation strength (r=0,864), internal consistency reliability test have very high score (cronbach alpha = 0,903), the overall item inter-rater reliability test was very good (ICC = 0.985) and the cut-off value was 10.5 with a sensitivity value of 76,6% and a specificity of 86,9%. Conclusions: The Indonesian version of the SAPS instrument is a valid and reliable instrument for measuring negative symptoms in people with schizophrenia.en_US
