Abstract

Production planning is generally done with estimates based on past forecasting. However, in fact, companies are often faced with demand because the volume of demand depends on customer demand. The purpose of this study is to optimize the number of production, minimize production cost, and maximize profits. This research uses Goal Programming method to optimize furniture production. The Goal Programming method is intended to solve problem wit more than one purpose. These objectives may be interrelated and may conflict with one another. The results of the study showed that the define objectives achieved optimally where the amount of production for 2021 is the same as the previous year with an increase in total production cost during 2021 by 0.6% from the previous year and an increase in total profit during 2021 by 0.8% from the previous year.
