The problem is more complex as the long economic crisis. In Such economic situation, street children are often taken as solution. This situation lures children being exploited for the purpose of life.
According to UNICEF defined Street Child are those who have abandoned their homes, school and immediate communities before they are sixteen years old, and have drifted in to a nomadic street life.
Legal protection is a legal security to street child that forced to work on the street in order they should be treated in appropriation with the existing Act Number 23 of 2002 and Islamic Law.
This research is aimed to know about how is the implementation of legal protection to the street child and several obstacles to be understood in implementing these legal protection to the street child.
Result of this research showed in fact that there are regulation promulgated by the government to regulate the street child, it was not implemented. Those above mentioned things also showed that legal protection for children is responsibility of the government. This matter because of also a lot of party playing at like family, environmental, law, social (of) culture, political and economic pursuing protection execution punish to public street child.
As suggestion, Legal protection to the street child better be based with the rights and obligations development its basic, like protection in health area, education and construction/forming of child personality, also the importance of serious handling, full empathy and not temporary of the policy maker, family and society in overcoming problem of the street child so that to get best future for street child.
