Efektivitas Desensitisasi in Vivo untuk Mengatasi School Refusal Behavior pada Anak The Effectiveness of in Vivo Desensitization to Overcome School Refusal Behavior in Children
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of in vivo desensitization to overcome
school refusal behavior in children, consists of three stages: (l) relaxation to relieve
anxiety; (2) stumulus hierarchy to identifu the sotrrce of anxiety; (3) exposure to terch
children to face the source of his anxiety. The research used was single case experirnental
with A-B-A design, the continuous measurement of the phase (A), intervention (B), and the
phase (A2), performed on two subjects children aged 8 and 9 years. Phase (A) done five
times, intervention @) nineteen times, and five times in phase (A2). Measurement of
school refusal behavior using a scale and school refusal behavior checklist, also given a
thermometer anxiety to examine the level of anxie$ through self judgment. Data analysis
using descrrptive statistical techniques.
Base on the data analysis can be concluded thafi (l) a decline in school refusal
behavior both subjects from high to low category; (2) reduction in anxiety levels, subject I
decreased anxiety of panic became a liule anxious and subject 2 of very anxious to be a
little anxious. This flierms that in vivo desensitization effectively to overcorne school
refusal behavior in children
