Chitosan/zeolite/rGO (Cs/Z/rGO) membranes have been prepared with five variations of membrane samples, namely Cs/z, Cs/z/rGO (0.5% w/w), Cs/z/rGO (1.0 % w/w), Cs/z/rGO (1.5% w/w), and Cs/z/rGO (2.0% w/w) using the solution casting method. The addition of rGO composition variations aims to see the effect of rGO composition on the electrical properties of the Cs/Z/rGO membrane. The resulting membranes were then characterized by water absorption, methanol uptake, swelling ratio, methanol permeability, ion exchange capacity (IEC) and electrical conductivity tests. The results of the Cs/Z/rGO membrane characterization from the water uptake, swelling water, and ion exchange capacity (IEC) tests as well as the electrical conductivity showed an increase with increasing rGO composition with respective values of 294.9%; 195%; 0.8153 mMol/g; 6.777 × 10-6 S/cm on a 2.0% w/w Cs/Z/rGO membrane variation. The values against methanol absorption, swelling of methanol, and permeability of methanol decreased both in terms of increasing levels of the proportion of rGO and from variations in methanol concentration (1M, 2M,3M,4M,5M) with respective values of 78.2%; 77%; 3.6 × 10-5 cm2/s on a 2.0% w/w Cs/Z/rGO membrane variation with 5M methanol concentration.
