dc.description.abstract | Carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol bioplastic manufacture and carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol with the addition of TiO2/ZnO had been done. Carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol based bioplastic using blending method. The bioplastic were characterization by tensile strength test, FTIR test, biodegradation test, swelling test, and the addition of TiO2/ZnO additives was added by using SEM to determine the bioplastic surface. The result showed that carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol bioplastic had optimum result in ratio 3:7 of TiO2/ZnO additives. In carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol, the tensile strength was 6,09 MPa and the elongation percentage was 47,18%. The addition of 3:7 TiO2/ZnO increased the tensile strength to 15,15 MPa and percentage to 18,62%. The swelling percentage of carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol bioplastic was 59%, while the swelling percentage of carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol bioplastic with the addition of the additive TiO2/ZnO decrease 46%. The result of the test biodegradation was inhibited due to the precence additives as fillers within bioplastic. The result of the SEM test showed that the carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol TiO2/ZnO bioplastic was not homogenious, The result of functional group analysis showed that bioplastic carrageenan kappa-CMC-glycerol do not have chemical bonds in the composite. This is indicated by no change in the O-H, C-H, S=O. C-O-C, and C-O-SO3. | en_US |
