    Gambaran Histopatologi Ketebalan Epitel Tubulus Seminiferus Testis serta Kualitas dan Kuantitas Sel Sperma Tikus (Rattus novergicus Strain Wistar) Hiperkolesterolemia yang Diberi Vitamin C

    Abstract
    Hypercholesterolemia can causes the abnormalities of the male reproductive function , achieved increase of oxygen radicals and lipid peroxidation production in different tissue, and inducing oxidative stress. The results is damage sperm membranes, structure of proteins and DNA that effect on fertility. Vitamin C is the major chain breaking antioxidant and can neutralize free radical. This study is an experimental design using 35 rats aged 8-12 weeks with body weight 150-200 gram were devided into 5 groups, PO = Rats that received standard food as control on days 1-60, P 1 =Rats that received fatty food on day 1- 60 =, P2= =Rats that received fatty food +vitamin Con days 1-60, P3 ==Rats that received fatty food on day 1-30, a standart food for 31-60 days, P4= Rats that received fatty food on days 1-30, vitamin Con day 31-60 (vit C= 3, 6 mg/ day, yolk= 5graml 200 gr bodyweight). Total cholesterol levels checked before and after treatment on day 1 and day 61. Then observed seminiferous tubules epithelium thickness and quality and quantity of sperm cell after the rats decapitated. Univariate analysis to calculate the mean and standard deviation. Test data with the Shapiro Wilk normality, followed by One Way Anova, Post Hoc, Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney Uwith SPSS 18.0for windows. Total cholesterol levels before and after treatment were not significantly different (p>0,05), seminiferous tubules epithelium thickness was significantly different in each group (p<0,05). The quality and quantity of sperm cells in each group was significantly different (p<0, 05). Giving vitamin C can improve and maintain the semin~ferous tubules epithelium, the quality and quantity of sperm cells hipercolesterolemia rats but had no effect on total cholesterol levels
