dc.description.abstract | The process of liquid waste with fixed bed column up flow works through bottom-up
circulation with different hydrostatic pressure as the fluidization principle has been
done. This research aims at knowing the influence of the hight of campfire and its
diameter to the isolation of the contents of TSS, COD, and pH to answer the
problems of environment pollution resulted by domestic liquid waste. The main
process material used were liquid waste from resident settlement, sand, pumice,
wood charcoal, and pebble by using 4 inch PVC pipe shaped U and COD meter
reactor as a quipment for analysis. Waste water which the contents of COD, TSS,
and former pH has been analyzed then pumped into U pipe column passed the
formation of processing campfire material which the hight of campfire has been
varied into 50 cm and 70 cm on the average diameter 0,815 mm; 0,493 mm; and
0,278 mm then the contents of COD, TSS, and pH of product in the flow of
processing result. The result shows that on the hight of campfire of 50 cm with
average diameter of 0.815 mm; 0.493 mm; and 0.278 mm the isolation of COD
content happening 53%, 63%, and 75%; respectively. While the isolation of TSS
content 41%, 53%, and 70% respectively. The highest and very good efficiency of
the isolation of coo and TSS is obtained on the hight of campfire sand 10 cm and
average diameter 0.278 mm which are 79% and 76%. | en_US |
