dc.description.abstractTeachers' performance is very important in teaching-learning activity. Teachers' good performance will eventually make good outcome on their students. However, an observation has revealed that teachers' performance is still not maximal. There are some factors which irifluence teachers' performance; they are teachers 'professionalism and motivation. The objective of the research was to find out and to analyze the influence of teachers' professionalism and motivation on their performance. The research used descriptive quantitative method with explanatory design,. The population was 311 teachers, and 173 of them were used as the samples, using proportionate random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis with an SPSS software program. The result of the research showed that, partially and simultaneously, teachers' professionalism ad motivation had positive and significant irifluence on their performance at SMP Negeri of Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict. The value of coefficient determinant (R-Square) was 40. 7% which indicated rhat teachers' professionalism and motivation could explain teachers' performance of 40. 7%, while the remaining 50.3% was explained the other variables excluded from this research.en_US
