Pengaruh Harga Bahan Bakar Minyak Terhadap Harga Eceran Beras dan Harga Minyak Goreng di Kota Medan

Abstract

Oil Fuel price is a vital issue becattse it plays an important role in the social economy and because the up-and-down of its price has direct elfecl on the price oJ commoditie.s, e,specially the retail price ry''rice and cooking oil as daily need,s. The objective of the researchwas tofind out the direct, indirect, and the total influence of cost of goods purchased of rice, international prtce of rice, oilfuel price, the price of CPO, and Bulog dummy on retoilecl price o/'rice ond cooking oil. The dala were analyzed by using the aid of data processing Excel 2007 and an SPSS soffi+,are program, using path analysis. There were 5 independent variables: cost oJ goods purchase of rice, oil fuel price, the price of CPO, and Bulog dummy, while the 2 dependent variables were retailed price of rice and cooking oil. The result of the research showed that there were 3 direct influences, 2 indirecl inJluences, and 2 total inlluences so that there were 7 dtrect, tndtrect, and total influences all together. The best structure in the equation of rice retail price is the structure of oil fuel price which inJluenced rice retail price through cooking oil retail price with direct inJluence of 0.176, indirect tn/luence through cooking ail retail price of 0.148, and total infiuence of 0.323. Monitor front the government on oil fuel price and the variable of establishing oil fuel price such as cooking oil retail price and rice retail price are needed.
