dc.description.abstract | Companies always try to replace work that has been done by humans to be replaced with machines in order to improve efficiency and improve the quality of their production.Along with the development and advancement of science in the field of technology, the production process, which was originally still done manually, is now increasingly advanced with many companies automating its production. The design of this tool has a problem formulation of how to design and work principles of fruit sorting and counting tools using the Atmega 328 microcontroller-based laser. The aim of the research and design of this tool is to determine the design process and working principles of fruit sorting and counting tools using an Atmega328 microcontroller-based laser.
The research and design of this tool uses experimental methods, in other words, the data presented in this study is data that comes from the results of the tool trial. The data will be analyzed using descriptive analysis method.
Based on the data analysis carried out, it was concluded that the working principle of fruit sorting and fruit counting was using a diode laser and a microcontroller-based LDR sensor, that is, each fruit that passes and is detected by the sensor is automatically counted, when the fruit is run on a conveyor, the LDR sensor will be blocked. by the fruit so that the LDR sensor does not capture light from the laser, the length of time the fruit blocks the LDR sensor will be calculated by the microcontroller timer and displayed on the LCD and used as a reference for sorting fruit. If small fruit is detected, the number of small fruits will increase in number, as well as for medium and large fruit sizes. So what is displayed on the LCD is the number of small, medium, and large fruits. | en_US |
