Research on the study of the adsorption of Iron (Fe) on Graphene Nano Sheets (GNS) adsorbents from Coconut Shell (Cocos nucifera L.) and Candlenut Shells (Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd) was carried out. The aims of this study are to produce large-scale Graphene Nano Sheets (GNS) (gram scale)from coconut shekk and candlenut shell and to analyze performance of adsorpstion Fe agains GNS. This research use GNS adsorption performance against iron (Fe). This study used the pyrolysis method to produce GBN. The adsorption process of Fe on GBN is carried out by the batch method. Analysis on GNS is carried out using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX) and performans of GNS as well as adsorbent is evaluated with adsourd Fe in GNS. This results of the research show there is weak and broad peaks at C(002) 2θ = 24.68° and C(002) 2θ = 24.44 on pyrolisis condition t = 5 hours ; T = 600 ℃ and t = 4 hours ; T = 400 ℃ for coconut shell ( XRD Data). While, there is weak and broad peaks also exist on candlenut. Those data prove GNS is well prodused base on coconut shell and candlenut as raw materials. The SEM-EDX data confirm the GNS has thin and flat surface with the majority element content (Carbon) 80 %. The analisis on Fe adsorbed on GNS is evaluated with atomic adsorpstion spectroscopy (AAS). The risets data show there isi a chemically interaction between Fe and GNS. the best adsorpstion condition of Fe on GNS is found at candelnut, pyrolysis condition : t = 5 hours ; T = 600 ℃ adsorption Fe percent (34.1 %) and adsorption activity ( 0.27 mg/g). Meaning, GNS is potensially use to adsorb Fe.
