dc.description.abstractThe research is conducted in the Library and Archives Agency Medan. This research aims at finding out the impacts of Social Distancing Policy (PPKM) on the library services in the Library and Archives Agency Medan. Descriptive qualitative method is employed in this research and the research informants are determined using Purposive Sampling technique. The result indicates that the impacts of PPKM policy are namely: 1) the circulation service is decreased 91% in the lending section and 85% in the returning section; 2) in the reading room, the utilization of rooms and time of service is not maximal; 3) the children's service activities cannot be carried out such as inviting the school students to visit the section of children service; 4) the mobile library decreases its activities such as activities to schools and the process of books return is not carried out maximally so the percentage of lost books reaches 10-20%, 5) Reference service decreases in utilization such as the decrease in numbers of questions regarding the collection of references.en_US
