In the development of computer networks, there are many problems with computer network security such as data confidentiality, integrity, reliability and availability. Attacks in computer networks are increasing from year to year so they have the potential to cause losses and require dynamic solutions. This loss can be used as an advantage for irresponsible parties, starting with breaking personal data that can be misused and some crucial data or important information on a company or government agency. Problems occur not only due to attacks, but also due to network design weaknesses. This problem can be solved in several ways such as the implementation of a virtual local area network (VLAN), port security, and access control lists (ACL). One of the security techniques that can be used is dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) snooping. This feature functions like a firewall where if a computer is connected to a DHCP server it will get an IP address from a trusted source. Port security additions can be used to further enhance network security and minimize threats from unknown hosts.
