Perilaku Caring Tenaga Kesehatan dalam Memberikan Pelayanan Kesehatan Kepada Lansia Diabetes Melitus di Puskesmas Glugur Medan

Abstract

Caring behavior is the realization of professional nursing care for patients. It is reflected by healthcare workers through the comfort, affection care, health maintenance and help that they provide to patients which motivate the patients to have better condition in physical psychological spiritual, and social aspects The objective of this research is to find out how the caring behavior in implemented in treating the senior citizens with diabetes mellitus in Puskemas Glugur Medan. Descriptive design is employed with quantitative approach aiming at revealing the caring behavior implemented in treating the sezion citizens with diabetes mellitus in Paskemas Glugur Medan Total sampling technique is employed to take 30 respondents as the sample. This research uses questionnaires on caring behavior in meating senior citizens as the instrument namely demographic questionnaire and questionnaire on caring behavior in treating senior citizens. The research findings demonstrate that the caring behavior of the health workers in treating the senior citizens falls into gen category. It is also found that 20 health workers (60) have good knowledge 10 health workers (33%) have adequate attitude is expected that is ne enrich the information to the health workers about urgency of implementing caring behavior to patients in order to satis the patients in receiving healthcare Service
