Asahan Regency is the 5th Regency in number the largest population in North Sumatra after Simalungun, Langkat, Deli Serdang and Medan. Currently has teachers under the auspices of the Department of Education Asahan Regency (PNS teachers) as many as 3.497 people. Non PNS teachers who consisted of the honorary teachers committee as many as 2.331 people and former K2 teachers as many as 95 people. In Asahan regency have educational institutions other than kindergarten, elementary school, Middle school, high school and vocational (equivalent). Also have educational institutions formal continuation such as UNA, IAI Daar Al Uluum, STIH Muhammadiyah, STIE Muhammadiyah, AMIK Intelkom Global Indo, AMIK Royal, AKPER YAGMA, AKPER PEMDA, AKBID Bina Daya Husada, AKBID Asyifa, dan AKBID Ikhtisan Aulia, who became an alternative education institution at the time the younger generation of people do not want to study outside the city of Kisaran.
In this study using primary and secondary data with using multiple linear regression analysis models. The formulation of the problem is will be examined is how the influence of income (X1), lifestyle (X2), education (X3), and the number dependents (X4) to the level of home consumption teacher ladder a Asahan Regency. The data in this study were processed with using SPSS 22 and Eviews 7. A population of 6319 people with a total sample of 376 people. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that income (X1), lifestyle (X2), education (X3), and number of the dependents (X4) influebtial simultaneously (F test) on the level of teacher household consumption at Asahan Regency. Based of partial test (t test) income variable (X1), lifestyle (X2), and the number of dependents (X4) has a positive influence and significant, but for the education variable(X3) has a negative effect and significantly to the level of teacher household consumption in the Asahan Regency.
