dc.description.abstract | The objective of this research is to look into effects of population, Human Development Index (IPM). Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB), and unemployment on the poverty in the eastern part of Aceh. The samples in this quantitative research are the three districts in the eastern part of Aceh Province, namely Aceh Timur Regency. Aceh Tamiang Regency, and Langsa Municipality Secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics are used and analyzed using Eviews 10 and panel data regression analysis which combines time series data and cross-section data for 10 years (from 2010 until 2019). This research finds that (1) the number of population has a positive and significant effect on poverty, the higher the population is, the higher the poverty in one region will be; (2) IPM has no effect on poverty; the score of IPM does not affect poverty rate; (3) PDRB has a negative effect on poverty: the higher the level of regional PDRB is, the easier it will be to control poverty: (4) unemployment has no effect on poverty: the number of unemployment does not always reflect the poverty rate in a region. | en_US |
