dc.description.abstractInside a dam, there is a water flow where the speed of the water varies depending on how much water opening is opened at the dam. This research wants to take advantage of the optimization of fluid dynamics in the dam. This research will focus on the energy flow of water in the dam to obtain optimal results. Solving an optimal problem will be easier if this problem is converted into a mathematical model. We can model the velocity of water flow into mathematics so that we know the optimal results we get on fluid dynamics so that it can be applied to the real world and provide even better benefits. The use of dams in controlling water flow is the basis for researchers to obtain optimal results of fluid dynamics at the dam. Based on the simulation results, using COMSOL Multiphysics 5.5 software that the dam model can with- stand the shift at a maximum point of 12 with a computation time of 1.9 s. if the shift continues, it will result in a collapse in the dam so that a barrier material is provided that can withstand the displacement value of the dam material.en_US
