| dc.description.abstract | Wood I-joist is one of the laminated beam types that use raw materials efficiently and can minimize cracks in the wood. The purpose of this study was to analyze the physical, mechanical properties and percentage of failure to wood I-joist from a combination of durian wood and plywood. The tests carried out were density, moisture content, MOE, MOR, and the percentage of wood failure. The results of this study showed that wood I-joist had an average density value ranging from 0,33-0,39 g/cm3, moisture content ranging from 13,30-14,39 %, and MOE ranging from 2377-3695 MPa and MOR ranging from 8,14-24,90 MPa. The percentage of wood failure I-joist after testing mechanical properties ranged from 35 to 53%. Type of failures wood I-joist was cross grain, brash tension, and horizontal shear. Statistical tests at a 95% confidence interval showed that the beam type according to layer on the web exerts a noticeable influence on the values of physical and mechanical properties. | en_US |
