The title of this research is spatial and time deixis analysis in the film Forensic Medicine
Song ci (法医宋慈 ) by Hu Guohan. The purpose of this study is to identify the use and
analyze the forms of spatial and time deixis in the film Forensic Medicine Song ci
(法医宋慈 ) by Hu Guohan. The film tells the story of Song Ci who carries out a random
murder investigation at a temple involving 27 corpses that were hung in the street
overnight. The theory used in this study is the theory of deixis put forward by Bambang
Kasanti Purwo that deixis is a word that does not have a fixed reference, depending on
who is the speaker and where the word is said. The researcher uses a qualitative
descriptive method to examine community life, history, behavior, organizational
functions, social movements, or kinship as proposed by Strauss and Corbin (2007:1).
The data in this study is the text that becomes a dialogue dialogue in the film Forensic
Medicine Song ci (法医宋慈 ) by Hu Guohan. The results of this research show that the
use of spatial deixis and time deixis consists of 28 forms of spatial deixis of which 43
forms of time deixis consist of spatial deixis in the form of locative lexeme spatial deixis,
demonstrative lexeme spatial deixis and temporal lexeme spatial deixis and time deixis
in the form of present tense deixis, time deixis past, future time deixis and relative time
deixis.
