Analisis Feminisme Liberal pada Tokoh Utama dalam Film An Empress and The Warriors 分析女权主义自由主义者德科的电影《江山美人》 Fēnxī Nǚquán Zhǔyì Zìyóu Zhǔyì Zhě Dé Kē De Diànyǐng “Jiāngshānměirén”

Abstract

Basically, the feminism movement emerged because of the urge to equalize rights between men and women, which so far seemed as if women were not respected in making opportunities and decisions in life. This study aims to determine the analysis of liberal feminism in the film An Empress and The Warriors, by describing the inequality experienced by the main character Yan Feier and his actions and resistance in facing inequality in the film An Empress and The Warriors. This study uses a qualitative descriptive writing method that presents data in the form of sentences. This research uses Liberal theory which gives intensity to equal rights, both in work and education. Liberal feminism bases its thinking on the liberal concept which emphasizes that women and men are created equal and have the same rights and opportunities. The focus in this wave is to fight the partitionist view, that women are weaker creatures than men and are irrational, besides that liberal feminism fights for women's suffrage and political position. Yan Feier, who lives in a patriarchal society, experiences inequality because he is considered beautiful but irrational and cannot lead his father's kingdom due to his political position limitations. Yan Feier also took action and resisted the inequality he was experiencing. He undertook military education and became the leader of the 16th Yan empire.
