dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences and similarities of conjunctions. The method used in this study was descriptive analysis. The data of this study was utterances from the figures that contain conjunctions. The data sources of this study are film The Adventurers 2017 by Stephen Fung and Hit & Run 2019 by Ody C. Harahap. The theory used to analyze the similarities and differences in the conjunction was contrastive analysis. The results showed that there were 11 types of conjunctions in film The Adventurers, and 3 types of conjunctions in film Hit & Run were found. The analysis showed that both languages have similarities and difference. The similarities is (1) the position of the particle of the conjunction that is placed before the subject and the position of the particle of the conjunction that is placed before the verb; the difference is (2) the position of the Chinese conjunction particle that is placed before the adverb, while the particle position of Indonesian conjunctions is placed after the adverb. | en_US |
