Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan Komunitas : Perawatan Prakonsepsi Wanita Usia Subur untuk Kehamilan Sehat sebagai Upaya Pencegahan Stunting di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Medan Sunggal (Case Study)
Abstract
Preconception is the period before pregnancy with a range of three months to one year. Stunting is a health problem that can be suffered by children caused by lack of maternal nutrition during pregnancy so that it has an impact on the sustainable growth and development of children. Preconception care aims to prepare the condition of the prospective mother for a healthy pregnancy and prevent the occurrence of diseases, for example is stunting itself. Nutrition indicators are conducted by measuring the upper arm circumference , if the upper arm circumference is <23.5 cm and body mass index is <18.5 then the woman is categorized as chronic energy deficiency, . Preconception care was conducted on two clients who were included in the category of eligible women who were planning a wedding in the next year. The assessment was conducted by interview and physical check. The implementation which is conducted by providing education about stunting, nutrition management and education about nutrition in the preconception period. after being given education, the client shows an increase in knowledge, and understanding about the interventions that have been given.
