Basic human needs are the elements needed by humans in maintaining physiological and psychological balance, which aims to maintain life and health. According to Maslow's basic human needs in hierarchical theory, every human being has five basic needs, namely physiological needs (eating, drinking), safety, comfort, love, self-esteem, and self-actualization. Pain is a complex health problem, and it is one of the things a person comes to seek medical help for. Pain can affect everyone regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, social status, and occupation. Headache is a tension in the venous sinuses around the brain, damage to the tentorium or stretching of the dura at the base of the brain which can cause severe pain. Caring is a common component, as a professional nurse it is important to understand the client's culture. Caring is very personal, so the disclosure of Caring for each client is different. Nursing care for clients with chronic pain was carried out for one of the clients with the main problem of pain nursing in Medan Selayang District on May 27-June 23 2022 using interview and observation methods. The results obtained by individual therapy management with a very effective communication approach are applied in the nursing care process, where client problems such as pain, activity intolerance, and knowledge deficits can be resolved properly. It is recommended for families to apply nursing management in supporting the fulfillment of a sense of comfort and improving the quality of life of clients with pain nursing problems.en_US
