Pengalaman Perawat dalam Melakukan Latihan Strength of Muscle pada Pasien Stroke di RSUP. Haji Adam Malik Medan

Abstract

Patients with stroke suffer various nerve and muscle issues. The weaknesses and paralysis of patients with stroke affect their ability to carry out their daily activities. Therefore, it is critical that murses perform strength of muscle exercises for stroke patients This study is aiming to investigate the nurses experience performing strength of muscle exercises on patients with stroke in RSUP H Adam Malik. This qualitative study with a phenomenological descriptive approach employs a purposive sampling technique to choose 10 nurses who have prior experience performing the strength of muscle exercise on stroke patients. Data are collected through in-depth interviews and then evaluated using Colloizzi method. The five issues identified by the thematic analysis are the nurses understanding of strength muscle exercise, challenges and solutions encountered while performing the strength of muscle exercise how the strength muscle exercise is implemented, the need to enhance the skill in performing strength of muscle and the nurses emotional reactions while performing the strength of muscle exercise on the stroke patients. It is concluded that merses knowledge of muscle strength enables them to demonstrate it to stroke patients and help them find the best solution to various challenges they may encounter. It is suggested that nurses improve their strength of muscle exercise skills to provide better nursing care for patients with stroke
