dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to explore school climate in predicting student achievement at SMK Swasta X Kabanjahe City. This research was conducted because of a phenomenon found in the field, where in terms of school climate it is known that the relationship between students and teachers is not good, students often play truant, and school buildings are bad. Meanwhile, in terms of learning achievement, it is known that the achievement of student national exam scores is relatively low where the school is ranked 2nd lowest out of 9 SMK in Kabanjahe City. The subjects in this study were 80 students of class XI and XII who attended SMK Swasta X in Kabanjahe City. The data was collected using school climate scale that constructed by researcher and student academic report. The school climate scale is based on the dimensions proposed by Cohen et al (2009). The data was analyzed using multiple regression. The results indicated that school climate could not predict academic performance of student in SMK Swasta X Kabanjahe City (F (1, 79) = 1,40, p=0,24).en_US
