dc.description.abstractThis study aims to examine the effectiveness of interest search program to enhance the career maturity of junior high school students. Quasi-experimental mixed design (between subject-within subject design) with pretest-post test procedure was used in this study. This experiment has 64 students of grade eight as samples, 32 students in experimental group and 32 students in control group. Data were collected using attitude scale of career maturity and competence scale of career maturity and then analyzed statistically with two way Anova mixed design. The result of quantitative analysis showed that the effectiveness of interest search program to entrance the career maturity of junior high school students was proven. Interest search program has significantly increased the attitude and competence of career maturity of students in experimental group. Whereas qualitative analysis gives evidence that interest search program has enhanced students career maturity in terms of knowledge of self and the world of work, the ability to integrate the knowledge of self and the world of work, the ability to make career decision, the ability to make career planning and the awareness of the need for career guidance for junior high school students. The implication of this research is the school is expected to organize interest search program for all students to enhance students' career maturityen_US
