Peranan Gambir terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan Petani dan Kaitannya dengan Pengembangan Wilayah di Kabupaten Dairi (Studi Kasus terhadap Petani Gambir di Kecamatan Siempat Nempu Hulu dan Kecamatan Silima Pungga-Pungga)

Abstract

Research goal is to be done: (1) to know how big the influence area, raw materials, labor to the production of gambier dry (2) know komparasi between the income of farmers and processors dry gambier farmers do not work (in the form of wet leaves) (3) know how big the role of commodity gambier the development area in Kabupaten Dairi.

This research was conducted in Kabupaten Dairi. This area is taken as the location because the research is one of the main producers gambier. The data used are primary data and data skunder. Primary data obtained through interviews of farmers gambier. Methods of analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and regression analysis linier berganda.

Based on the results of the analysis conclude that (1) the partial or concurrently, the three variables, namely: area, raw materials, labor is evident in the production of gambier (2) the income of farmers who cultivate gambier different than the real income of farmers do not cultivate. This is caused by dry gambier price is higher than the price of wet leaves (3) Commodity gambier is basis so have multiplier effect on economic growth areas in Kabupaten Dairi.
